A Novel Low-Profile Phased Antenna With Dual-Port and Its Application in 1-D Linear Array to 2-D Scanning

A novel low-profile phased antenna with dual-port and its two types of 1-D linear array to 2-D space wide-angle beam scanning are proposed. The unit is composed fishbone structure rhombus parasitic patch, which folded into n-shaped low profile $0.08\lambda $ . By adjusting the phase difference ( notation="LaTeX">$\Delta \varphi$ ) from 0° 180°, working mode changed even hybrid odd eventually. Therefore, proposed realizes characteristics continuous switching state broadside lobe endfire lobe. Furthermore, element extended kinds (Array#1 Array#2) based on generalized principle pattern multiplication. fabricated Array#1 can realize range notation="LaTeX">$- 116^{\circ }< \theta _{\mathrm {m}} < 0^{\circ }$ xo z plane), notation="LaTeX">$0^{\circ 63^{\circ xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">yo notation="LaTeX">$90^{\circ \Phi 169^{\circ xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">xoy plane) Array#2 achieve 60^{\circ 65^{\circ notation="LaTeX">$\text{y}{o}\text{z}$ 152^{\circ plane). scanning, improving performance expanding dimensional in array.
